The event, open only to experienced golfers, was played over 18 holes, followed by a prize giving sit down dinner.
Starting play
On arrival players were supplied with golf shirts, sponsored by Innovation Group and sunscreen by Digicall.
They then received goody bags filled with branded golf balls, sponsored by Credit Guarantee, caps and visors, sponsored by Everinghams, screen/glass cleaner, sponsored by Genasys Technologies, branded socks, sponsored by Leppard Underwriting, cooling towels, sponsored by Old Mutual Insure, and gifts, sponsored by RoadCover. Thank you to the sponsors for the goody bags.
The GWII golf day was played over 18 holes. The teams included a male industry colleague and the 18 holes played gave plenty of time for networking and friendly rivalry amongst the industry colleagues.
As per usual, there was a hole in one competition, where someone stood a chance to win R100 000, sponsored by SHA Risk Specialists, plus nearest the pin, with a R2 500 cash prize up for grabs. Unfortunately, no one won it.
As players came off the field, players and guests then enjoyed a gin from the gin bar, sponsored by Emerald. The day ended off with a sit-down dinner and prize giving session.
Awarded efforts
Category winners included all the 4-ball groups. Prizes were also given for nearest the pin and the longest drive. Thank you to all of our prize sponsors:
– The first four ball won 4 x Pro Shop vouchers valued at R1 500 each, sponsored by Chubb;
– The second four ball won 4 x Steyn City golf lessons (2 lessons per person) valued at R5 520, sponsored by GWII;

– The fourth fourball won 1 x pink 4-ball prize consisting of a cap, set of balls, small bag and some tees, valued at R1 600, sponsored by Emerald Risk Transfer.
Nearest the pin won a Le Creuset Voucher, valued at R1 500, and the longest drive won a Woodlands Spa Voucher, valued at R1 000, sponsored by Garrun Group.
