On the Course
The 18-hole event fostered friendly competition and ample networking opportunities. Players enjoyed coffee at Hole 5, sponsored by Auto & General, and a chance at the R100,000 hole-in-one competition sponsored by SHA Risk Specialists, benefiting a GWII-nominated charity.
Off the Field
After play, attendees enjoyed a gin bar sponsored by Emerald Africa. Highlights included an informal conversation between GWII President Catherine Albertyn and professional golfer Nicole Garcia, who shared insights into her career and the world of professional golf. We heard the inside scope about golf in the ‘fast lane’ (and some scandals as well). Nicole played with the Echelon 4-ball and was introduced to the audience by Randhir Seetaram from Echelon

The day concluded with a sit-down dinner, where Catherine Albertyn and Seugnette van Wyngaard, Head of 1st for Women, addressed the guests. Main prizes, sponsored by Bryte, Discovery, Emerald Africa, GuardRisk, GWII, Optix, and SHA, were awarded to the day’s winners, with additional lucky draws provided by Cliff Dekker Hofmeyr, Digicall, and Global Choices.
